Guide the next generation of Aligarians
Many of us arrived in Germany with questions nobody nearby could answer: Which university? Is my degree recognised? How do I write a German CV? Our mentoring programme connects current AMU students and recent graduates with alumni who have already walked that path.
What mentors do
- Answer questions on studying, researching or working in Germany
- Review CVs, motivation letters and university applications
- Share honest insight into their field, employer and daily life in Germany
- Join occasional group sessions and webinars as a speaker
Time commitment
About 1–2 hours per month for 6 months, mostly online. You choose how many mentees you take (usually one or two).
Who can become a mentor
Any AMU graduate living in Germany with at least 2 years of study or work experience here. Membership of the association is welcome but not required.
For students: request a mentor
AMU students and graduates planning a move to Germany can request a mentor. Tell us your field, your plans and your timeline, and we will match you with an alumnus or alumna where possible.
