Mission and Vision

The mission and vision of AMU Alumni Association Germany e.V. are to promote the legacy, values and educational vision of Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, and to serve as a platform for alumni living in Germany and neighbouring countries.

In line with our Satzung, the association is committed to the following objectives:

1. 1. Strengthening the AMU alumni community

   We bring together alumni of Aligarh Muslim University living in Germany and neighbouring European countries and promote social and cultural cohesion within the alumni community.

2. 2. Promoting education and knowledge exchange

   We support the promotion of education, learning and international knowledge exchange through lectures, discussion forums, webinars, academic events and experience-sharing platforms.

3. 3. Carrying forward the vision of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan

   We promote and preserve the educational ideals of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, the founder of AMU, especially his vision of modern education, social progress, intellectual development and service to society.

4. 4. Supporting students and young professionals

   We support students, graduates and young professionals through information events, guidance, mentoring, academic support, career orientation and assistance in their educational and professional journey.

5. 5. Building bridges between India, Germany and Europe

   We promote cultural, social, academic, scientific and professional exchange between alumni, students, institutions and communities in India, Germany and Europe.

6. 6. Promoting cultural heritage and community activities

   We organize cultural, educational, artistic and social events to celebrate and preserve the heritage of AMU and Indian culture, including lectures, film screenings, musical events, theatre performances and community gatherings.

7. 7. Encouraging sports and social engagement

   We promote sporting, cultural and social activities that strengthen community spirit, cooperation and healthy engagement among alumni, students and supporters.

8. 8. Supporting scholarships and academic development

   We aim to support students of AMU Aligarh through scholarships and academic assistance, helping them pursue studies in India or Germany.

9. 9. Creating an alumni network and platform

   We work to establish and expand an active AMU alumni network through digital platforms, alumni academies, discussion groups, professional circles and regular networking events.

10. 10. Cooperation with institutions and organizations

    We cooperate with foundations, associations, alumni organizations and representatives from education, culture, sport, business, science and society to advance common educational and social goals.

11. 11. Remaining neutral, inclusive and non-profit

    The association is politically, ethnically and confessionally neutral. It operates on a non-profit basis and is committed to inclusion, mutual respect, international understanding and community service.
